This is Homewerks newest model, the Radio Thermostat CT-80. It’s an updated version of the older model, the Homewerks CT-30 as reviewed on this site. It has all the features you would expect from a WiFi thermostat and is very similar to it’s older counterpart. The price point is a little higher, however. The main differences between these models is the fact that the CT-80 can control 3 of heat as opposed to 2 as found in the CT-30. Another difference is the CT-80 has the ability to set 7 temperature points during a single day as opposed to 4 found in the CT-30.
Homewerks is still much lesser known than its competitors, but still has mobile and web interfaces that allow you to control the heating and/or cooling of your home and business from anywhere in the world. When you are connected to your Homewerks via the WiFi/internet you can adjust every feature as if you were standing in front of it allowing you to set the temperature or change the 7-day programming feature.
With this WiFi thermostat a home or business owner can cut energy costs, monitor energy with reports, and be notified of a system failure all while protecting the environment. The install is easy and usually does not require an HVAC specialist.
This WiFi thermostat is approved by EnergyStar and they claim that this thermostat can save the home owner up to $180 on energy bills every year.
